my top 10 stories

ok, so here's my 2nd post my top 10 doctor who stories, before I post this you should probably know 2 things

1. my blogs are my opinion, even when presented as fact, unless of course it is fact

and

2. i haven't seen every episode, i know i's impossible anyway

so here we go

1. city of death

city of death is the best thing ever, simple as [remember it's always my opinion]

i will go into more detail, even though i don't need to, but anyway, it just has the best special effects, an amazing plot, and is funny, whilst not becoming to silly, the setting is incredible, and the ending is a great resolution,

the best lines in history happen in this episode,

"duggan, that was probably the most important punch in history."

if i had to pick out 1 problem, it would have to be that there weren't more cameos, the jon cleese seen is incredible

2. terror of the zygons

love this story, only just watched, literally today, while i was creating this blog i was watching this, in fact this was the reason, finally decided to create this blog, anyway, there are just some great parts in this story, which it would take ages to list, so hear they are:

the opening, it's just amazing, great musical score, and then that seen of the man on the radio, followed by the destruction of the rig

the caber zygon, hunts down the man from the rig, you can see he's up to something, bu you can't tell what, then you see the man running and bang, he falls, then you see harry running to his aid, a truly companionly action, what is the man saying, you not sure, and then as he is about to reveal all, you see a thr man in his sights, and bang he's dead, you think he'll run away, but no there goes harry, a sequence worthy of a james bond film, special mention goes to the seen where the doctor and sarah discovers he's been shot

the cliff hanger from part 1, just it's so quick, she's on the phone, then a tap onn the back then, arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, find out what happens next week

the pitchfork fight, just an incredible seen, the fight, endless dodging, love the bit where you see him hiding behind the bales, it would be incredible if they had that has a cliffhanger, just the 1st strike, then next week the fall

angus and the bugs, lol

angus is killed, the discovery, then he is killed, nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, not angus, that's the 2nd time angus lennie has played my favourite non-regular character in the series, which is tragically killed off nooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! storr.

the doctor is taken prisoner, just a great, seen i going in there, and then just immediately, argh!

all  the seens with the doctor on the ship

can't wait till they return for the 50th

3. the image of fendahl

great episode, great acting, a mixed bunch of seens [as in types of seens not], the monsters are incredible, however it could have had more of the monsters, and the threat of just looking at her could have been stronger.

4. day of the daleks

i must admit, that i have know idea about the special effects and original dalek voices, as i watched the special edition dvd, so the special effects i saw were great, but i think the plot is great, and the resolution and explanation is great, the premise is also incredible, but the seen at the beginning, with doctor meeting his self, is un-forgivable, they could of just put in the explanation to finish the story, and the actual last seen is fairly bad, even so the main human villain is very sinister, and well characterised a bit like the master

5. the pyramids of mars

this is the entry on the list which probably is most close on my list to general opinion,  and it's easy to see why, it's just amazing, the villain is incredible, and there are some great char aacters, it's also the 1st time we see a fez on doctor who, but the best part of this story is how memorable the villains are sutekh is in incredible and his back story is brilliant, the robot mummies however are wonderful, an excellent and original idea, and amazingly well carried out, this episode was also my favourite episode on new years day last year, before i saw some of the most incredible bits of tv ever, only joking, all of doctor who is incredible

6. the savages

ok, so i must admit that i have only read this in a book of phototnovels, but still it was amazing in that so i love, it is forgotten because of the lack of monsters but featured some incredible bits, and is surely the high point of steven's time on doctor who, and I really like dodo as a companion, even though to most she isn't that popluar to most fans, but it just is amazing, the plot is great, and is amazingly varied and is in my opinion the basis for all fewer classic doctor who

7. genesis of the daleks

well at some point I had to mention the highest rated story ever, it's just incredible, and if you want to find reasons, there must be millions around, for god's sake it's terry nation

8. the seeds of death [that's the plant one]

this episode is amazing, it has a great plot and is highly underrated and is basically to great plots in one, now I haven't mentioned it before but I absolutely love the special effects of classic who, and this one is full of it, as I said before it's 2 plots in 1, and as the brigadier [shame he couldn't be in it] said

"splendid chaps both of them"

the monster is a great idea, and it's really hard to choose which I prefer the 1st part or the 2nd, I choose 1st.

now confusingly here's the next one

9. the seeds of doom [that's the ice warrior one]

this is my favourite story from my 2nd favourite doctor: the 2ndd doctor, what makes this great is that a part from his humor and Jamie, I like the 2nd doctor because of how amazing his stories were, but this 1 is incredible here's a helpful equation

my 2nd favourite doctor + my 3rd favourite companion + my favourite monster + one of my favourite writers writing half of it = a great story all round

I love the basis, but when I 1st saw it I was to young to remember the plot, but can basically work it out.

10. the dalek invasion of earth

the dalek invasion of earth is an epic block buster, it tells an amazing story and has loads of different things to get me excited, ie. crocodiles in the sewers, it's also probably got an incredibly hard job of being the 1st episode to see off a companion, the film version is also great.

so that was the top 10, if you have any points please comment, perhaps you would like to suggest another top 10 I could do, remember I am always looking for unique to top 10s I could do to keep the page different.
